Welcome to Storyfolk
We're building a world of good stories to stir our children's hearts and minds for God and his good ways.
This is what we're working on:
A magazine for Christian Families
STORYFOLK will be a beautiful magazine for the whole family to enjoy (issued 3-4 times per year)
Our mission is to fill it with good stuff that will nourish the minds and souls of children – history, little tales, lives of great men and women, new stories and old. And as a father of three, I'm making the magazine I want to read with my own sons and daughter.

A Books Series
We have lots of ideas in the pipeline, but right now, book one of a new series about Bible history is nearly ready to share. Len Goes Wandering in Mesopotamia is a part history book, part Bible companion for curious young readers.
A Community for Young creatives
We want to gather talented young Christian writers, illustrators and creatives and help them steward their creativity for the glory of God and the good of families. This will include giving them support and opportunities to contribute to our magazine and book series.
Storyfolk is the fruit of a decade's thought
After leading a youth charity for ten years, writing about formation (here), and watching my own children grow, I'm convinced we need to do more to nourish the inner lives of our children – and I believe we need more Christian storytellers working to serve our families.
We have so much that is good and true to pass on to them.
As Christians, we have an inheritance to pass on – a great treasure chest of stories about who we are, where we come from, why we're here and where we're going. Our children need to hear the story of mankind, the stories of faith, and stories that bring to life the way of wisdom and righteousness.
2. We need to protect our children's attention.
The reality is that our children's attention is being hijacked and hooked online. They are growing up in a world filled with noise, distraction and slop. We have a responsibility to both guard their attention and direct it to worthier things.
Good stories are one of the most powerful influences on a child's life beyond their immediate family and social circle
While God chiefly uses fathers, mothers and ordinary folk to raise, shepherd and encourage children, stories have a huge role to play in their formation.
Without preaching at us, stories nevertheless teach: they instruct, warn, inspire, and encourage.
All that is to say that I believe the gathering and telling of good stories has never been more important.
The inner life of children is at stake.
